ISOA Will Hold 17th Annual Summit on November 7-9 in Tysons, VA

November conference to focus on stability operations in hotspots around the globe

WASHINGTON, October 16, 2023 — The International Stability Operations Association (ISOA) will hold its 17th Annual Summit on November 7-9, 2023, in Tysons, VA. Summit attendees will receive updates on the current international situation, identify potential contracting opportunities and public-private partnerships, and make business connections for government contracting.

The Summit features over a dozen informative panels and inspirational keynote speakers discussing critical topics such as logistics, procurement, medical response, energy and human trafficking. Panels and speakers will also provide regional updates on Europe and Ukraine, the Middle East, Africa and the Indo-Pacific region. Representatives of the U.S. Departments of Defense and State, USAID, businesses, NGOs and other contracting authorities will attend. The always-popular Business Matchmaking Forum will allow attendees to make one-to-one connections with industry and government representatives.

The following keynote speakers have been announced:

  • Blas Nunez-Neto, Assistant Secretary for Border and Immigration Policy, Department of Homeland Security
  • Jessica Lewis, Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs
  • Nate Nash, Executive VP at GovExec and Funder & CEO of GovTribe
  • LTG Scott Spellmon, Commander, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
  • GEN Steve Townsend, U.S. Army (Ret), Former Commander, AFRICOM

New this year, the Summit will offer a Small Business Workshop focused specifically on the needs of small businesses that are interested in contracting and subcontracting opportunities with U.S. Government agencies and primes.

“We’ve arranged for a wide range of experts to speak at our Annual Summit, ensuring our attendees will get insightful updates on stability and contingency operations around the world,” said ISOA President and Executive Director Howard R. Lind. “Attendees will also benefit from make in-person connections with contracting officers, primes, and subcontractors to develop successful public-private partnerships.”

Registration for the ISOA Summit is available on the ISOA website until November 7. ISOA members and non-members are encouraged to attend. ISOA’s next major conference will focus on stability operations in Africa and will be held on February 13-15, 2024, in Nairobi, Kenya. A one-day workshop on contracting opportunities with NATO and EU will be held in Brussels on December 5. Other planned ISOA events include webinars on Ukraine and Eastern Europe, China and the Indo-Pacific region, Women, Peace, and Security trainings, networking receptions, advocacy meetings, and small business forums.
