Over a dozen key military and government contracting entities will present upcoming requirements
WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 28, 2024) – The International Stability Operations Association (ISOA) will host its first-ever Europe Industry Days on April 8-11, 2024 in Kaiserslautern, Germany. During the three-day event, representatives from over a dozen contracting entities from the U.S. Department of Defense, GSA and other government agencies will present their upcoming requirements to the private sector and provide briefs on how to do business with the U.S. Government. In addition, panel discussions with industry representatives will further elucidate opportunities and challenges associated with U.S. government contracting in Europe.
The partnership between the U.S. Department of Defense and the private sector, particularly in the context of supporting U.S. security interests in Europe, is paramount. Now more than ever, the private sector will play a critical role in augmenting the U.S. military in supporting U.S. security and national interests. The multiple challenges currently facing the U.S. and its allies in Europe demand even closer cooperation between the U.S. Government and industry to provide better solutions and bring innovative ideas. Growing the vendor base, improving system knowledge, and familiarizing vendors with upcoming needs will facilitate cooperation between industry and government.
“The U.S. Department of Defense looks to industry to be a key part of military operations – in effect, a force multiplier,” said Howie Lind, ISOA President and Executive Director. “ISOA’s Europe Industry Days will provide excellent insight, especially for European companies, on how to be a part of this industry, including how to register and interact with government and other U.S. contractors.”
The event spans three days, offering a comprehensive program aimed at fostering cooperation between contracting entities and industry representatives. The first two days will include updates from contracting entities and workshops, tailored to both experienced contractors and those new to the field. The third day will include presentations along with Business Matchmaking, allowing companies to engage directly with contracting entities. Additionally, attendees will have the chance to explore exhibition booths and network with peers.
Representatives from a wide variety of U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Government contracting entities will be present, including:
- General Services Administration (GSA)
- 409th Contracting Support Brigade (409th CSB) (invited) • 21st Theater Sustainment Command (21st TSC) (invited)
- Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA)

- Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)
- Air Force Installation Contracting Center (AFICC) (invited)

Industry representatives will be available for interviews immediately prior to the reception. The remaining activities, including presentations, panels, workshops and business matchmaking sessions, will be held on April 9-11 at Fritz Walter Stadium in Kaiserslautern.
