Leaders from ISOA and ISOA member companies recently met with the Defense Science Board’s Task Force on the Industrial Base. The Defense Science Board reports their findings to the Secretary of Defense, the National Security Council, and to the U.S. Congress.

The purpose of this meeting was to provide industry perspectives and concerns in the following areas from ISOA member companies:

✔ Innovative and emerging technologies for logistics and supply chain management

✔ Pre-positioning of contingency planning stocks

✔ Contractor’s involvement with contingency planning

✔ Key role of U.S. small businesses

✔ A “Whole of Government” environment must be followed for contingency planning

✔ Prohibition on U.S. Defense contracts in Ukraine

✔ DSB focus areas (RDTE) exception from small business NAICS Caps

✔ Flexibility in Buy American Act standard
