ISOA Unveils Reimagined Committees to Tackle Global Stability Challenges

At the International Stability Operations Association (ISOA), we are passionately committed to addressing the critical issues that impact global stability. Our committees are at the forefront of these efforts, tackling challenges across key areas such as Government Affairs, Cyber Technology, Rule of Law, and Women, Peace, & Security. ISOA has ten standing Committees and two active Working Groups.
Leaders have strategically realigned our committee structure to broaden our initiatives supporting industry growth, policy, advocacy, and professional development. Our goal is to amplify ISOA’s outreach and strengthen our influence with external stakeholders, including government agencies, private and commercial sectors, NGOs, other associations, and industry leaders. Through these collaborative efforts, we aim to drive meaningful change and advance stability worldwide.

Anti-Human Trafficking Committee
Chairman: Amy Marden, SOS International (SOSi)
To empower member companies to confront the critical issues of human trafficking, individually displaced persons (IDPs), and refugees through comprehensive education, advocacy, authorship, partnership, and outreach.
Building Capacity Committee
Chairman: Aidis Zunde, Yorktown Systems Group
This committee addresses the essential infrastructure needs that underpin global stability, including security cooperation, training, crisis management, post-conflict recovery (to include UXO/demining), governance, intelligence, and law enforcement. Committee members will work to enhance these life-supporting systems, which are critical for resilience and stability in conflict-affected regions.
Cyber Technology, AI, & Innovation Committee
Chairman: Gerald Goss, MSA Security
In an era of unprecedented technological advancement, this committee tackles the unique challenges and opportunities that disruptive technologies like AI and cybersecurity present to global stability. Our members are dedicated to exploring the policy implications, regulatory needs, accountability measures, and governance structures essential for managing cyber threats. Government Affairs Committee
Chairman: Jason Rossbach, V2X

This committee serves as a vital link between our members and senior government officials, driving impactful policy advocacy for the stability operations industry. By engaging regularly with leaders from the U.S. Department of Defense, the Department of State, and Congress, our members tackle pressing issues that directly affect our industry and member companies. Through these strategic discussions, the committee helps shape policy, ensuring our industry’s interests are represented and advanced within the broader government landscape.
Legal Affairs & Rule of Law Committee
Chairman: Alex Sarria, Miller & Chevalier
The Legal Affairs & Rule of Law Committee offers ISOA members a dedicated forum to tackle the legal and regulatory issues impacting the stability operations industry. This committee plays an essential role in coordinating legal initiatives, such as reviewing and commenting on federal regulations and legislation, ensuring that members are well-informed and actively involved in shaping the legal landscape. With participants from law firms, insurance companies, critical risk industries, and other legal and industry professionals, the committee fosters a collaborative environment where members can share insights, navigate challenges, and advocate for effective regulatory frameworks.
Membership Committee
Chairman: Jake Frazer, Precision Talent Solutions
The Membership Committee provides mentorship, support, & guidance to help members navigate the association’s resources. Committee members monitor membership data to understand trends in recruitment, retention, and engagement. This helps in identifying growth opportunities or strategic areas needing attention. They also encourage members to participate in other committees or volunteer opportunities within the association to deepen their engagement.
Private Security Companies Committee
Chairman: Dan Cronin, SOC, A Day & Zimmermann Company
This committee serves as a dedicated platform for professionals in the private security sector to address critical issues unique to their field. Members engage in discussions on regulatory challenges, operational risks, and industry best practices, creating a space to share insights and develop strategies for navigating these complexities. The committee also works directly with senior government officials from the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Department of State, and other relevant USG agencies, fostering collaboration and ensuring that the private security sector’s voice is heard on key matters affecting stability operations.
Small Business Committee
Chairman: Crystal Canet, Clear Consulting International
The Small Business Committee is dedicated to strengthening ISOA’s support for small businesses within the stability operations industry. This committee organizes events that connect small businesses with key stakeholders, fosters partnerships, and provides essential resources to help them succeed. Members benefit from specialized forums, including agency sessions with the Department of Defense, Department of State, USAID, and the SBA. Topics covered include proposal writing, competitive pricing strategies, and building cooperative relationships with contractors. Additionally, the committee hosts Small-Large Business Forums that focus on partnership opportunities with prime contractors and holds Small Business Partnership Matchmaking Events to facilitate connections and collaborations.
USAID Committee

The USAID Committee is dedicated to addressing key areas such as global health, supply chain management, and disaster response. By providing tailored ISOA programming, this committee meets the unique needs of international development, humanitarian aid, and logistics sectors. Members work on initiatives that enhance health security and improve emergency response capabilities, fostering resilience and support for communities affected by crises. Through these efforts, the committee contributes to the broader mission of promoting stability and well-being in vulnerable regions worldwide.
Women, Peace & Security Committee

Rooted in the Women Peace and Security Act of 2017, this committee champions gender equality, and the empowerment of women in peacebuilding. This committee has a strong momentum for future growth.
