He spent over 25 years in the CENTCOM theater in military, government, and civilian contractor roles.  Maroulis was one of the first mentors/trainers for the only Royal Saudi Air Force Intelligence Squadron, then moved on to design and build the communications infrastructure for the Qatar camps (As Sayliyah and Al Udeid) that became the basis for the CENTCOM HQ during Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.  He spent over 15 years directing communications and engineering programs in Iraq and Afghanistan with companies such as Raytheon and ITT/Vectrus and mentored many small businesses in the process.

More recently, Maroulis was instrumental in the creation of contingency programs in Afghanistan and Africa (Somalia, Uganda, and Tanzania) that provided fuel supply, logistics, food security and vehicle maintenance.  He spent the last few years in Afghanistan designing and implementing the National Maintenance Strategy Program, which focused on country-wide vehicle maintenance, sustainment and logistics for over 180,000 vehicles and approximately 350M USD annually in spare parts.   Since February 2022, he has been in Eastern and Central Europe representing Constellis for current and future operations and reconstruction efforts in Ukraine.
