Helmut Haufe
General Manager, Theater Logistics Support Center – Europe & Africa
Helmut Haufe’s education includes Civil Law studies from Saarbrücken University (1983) and Computer Science Training in Software Development from Control Data Institute, Saarbrücken, Germany (1992). In 1983, he became a permanent employee of the U.S. Army and has held various positions with progressively higher levels of responsibility in the areas of Resource Management, Personnel Management and Logistics.

- 21st Executive Director for Business
In 1997, Haufe attained the C10 rank, the highest local national rank, and in July of 1998, he was appointed as the General Manager of the General Support Center-Europe – an organization with almost 2,000 soldiers, U.S. civilians and local national employees. He continued this role when the GSC-E was re-designated as Theater Logistics Support Center-Europe (TLSC-E).
Haufe has played a significant role In many high visibility logistics operations over the years. He has supported Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm, RETROEUR I and II, Provide Hope, Joint Endeavour and Joint Guard. Haufe has
also been instrumental in the successful reconstitution of USAREUR equipment returning from Iraq and Afghanistan and in transforming combat service support in Europe.
Haufe’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Civilian Service Award, the Superior Civilian Service Award, the Achievement Medal for Civilian Service, the Commander’s Award for Civilian Service and numerous other performance awards.
Under Haufe’s leadership, the TLSC-E has won many supply and maintenance awards at the 21st Theater Sustainment Command, U.S. Army Europe and Headquarters, Department of the Army levels.
